Terms of use

Simple terms for using the ASCII Banner website and generated text output.

Last updated:August 4, 2026

Using the service

ASCII Banner is provided as a free browser-based utility. You may use generated output in source code, documentation, terminal interfaces, and other projects, subject to any rights that apply to the text or brand name you enter.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free output. Verify a banner in its final terminal, editor, or renderer before publishing it.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, distribute malware, or use automated requests in a way that degrades access for other visitors.

Fonts and open-source software

The renderer and font collection include third-party open-source work. Attribution embedded in each font is retained and surfaced where available. Third-party projects remain subject to their respective terms.

Changes

These terms may be updated when the service gains new capabilities. The revision date at the top of this page will change when material updates are published.
