Why this tool exists
Most ASCII banner generators ask you to select a font before you can see it. ASCII Banner reverses that workflow: type once, scan every style, and copy the result that fits your project.
The generator is designed for practical developer output. It measures terminal columns and wraps the result for Markdown, source comments, shell scripts, or plain-text files.
Private by design
Rendering happens entirely in your browser. There is no account, database, upload endpoint, or server-side banner history. Favorites and up to 10 recent text entries stay on the current device and can be deleted locally.
Built on FIGlet
The rendering engine is powered by the open-source figlet.js project. Individual font attribution is shown on each font page and retained inside the distributed font file.
Editorial approach
We publish focused guidance for the most useful fonts and real developer workflows. The aim is not to create thousands of thin pages; it is to make each indexed page answer a specific question well.
